About Our Business
A full service bakery for over 60 years, we provide a full line
of baked goods- from donuts to wedding cakes.
Family owned and operated, we take pride in baking from
scratch, with our own recipes. Kribel's began in the 1931
when Jacob & Dorothy Kribel first set up shop in the Troy Hill
Section of Pittsburgh.
Moving into Brookline in the 1940's eventually the bakery
became operated by two of their children, Jacob Kribel and
Maxine Kribel Kaminski. They have added two locations,
one in the Great Sourthern Shopping Center and one on Old
Clairton Rd in Pleasant Hills. Continuing in their parents
tradition, using their original receipes, the bakery continues
to provide quality baked goods made with premium
ingredients. This year we were proud to receive the Gold
Award for a Family Business in the Brookline Area as voted
by the readers of the Pittsburgh Tribune Review- A special
thanks goes out to all of our customers.
